Unlike many of Rio’s hotels, Casa Amarelo is a characterful boutique hotel. It sits in the bohemian district of Santa Teresa. The restaurants and bars of Lapa and Botafogo are nearby. The beaches of Ipanema and Copacabana lie a 15 minute drive away.
What's special about Casa Amarelo?
This guest house is away from the high rise hotels on the beaches, offering a much more individual place to stay. The hotel is the creation of French designer Robert le Heros, converted from a 1904 European style house. A stay in Santa Teresa will give you a completely different insight into Rio than the hotels of Copacabana or Ipanema.
